Rebuilding New Orleans in New York Benefit Raises Money, Image for Preservation Resource Center
A jazzy New York benefit brought New York leaders together to help restore the architectural fabric of diverse New Orleans neighborhoods and raised over $300,000 for the cause. Fertel Foundation a Highlight of NYRAG
The New York Regional Association of Grantsmakers’ Gulf Coast Recovery Task Force, a group of 50 representatives from foundations and other not-for-profits, learned about the Fertel Foundation and others who are working to rebuild New Orleans in a session on Feb. 26. NYRAG members and the wider New York philanthropic community have raised over $325 million for rescue, recovery and rebuilding efforts – more than any other philanthropic community in the nation.
